"Amazing items and outstanding support"
The team at Laguiole Imports was fantastic.

I got a knife as a present, but I was looking for something a bit smaller that would fit better in my pocket. They helped me with the exchange, sent out the new knife the same day, and made the whole shopping process enjoyable and straightforward.

The knife is just like what was shown on the site and is truly a piece of art and craftsmanship.

"Absolutely Amazing Corkscrew!"
I recently got my hands on the Magnum corkscrew pull, and let me tell ya, it’s a real masterpiece that works like a charm. The two-step, boot-lever mechanism operates without a hitch. Honestly, it’s got this classy design that’s super easy to handle thanks to its ergonomic features. What an incredible tool! Every time I reach for it (and it’s a solid piece), the quality of the materials and craftsmanship is just top-notch. The blue feather inlay on this Fontenille Pataud Magnum pull is simply stunning! I also grabbed the matching leather sheath (in black/noir) that’s made just for this corkscrew.

As for the fulfillment process, this was my first experience with Laguiole Imports, and it was a delight! I was really impressed by how fast my corkscrew showed up with the 2-day UPS shipping. The follow-up from customer service was super helpful in guiding me to the matching leather sheath, which was also delivered promptly. "My order never showed up"
I never got my order. I was thrilled to grab a lovely corkscrew along with a leather sheath. Unfortunately, the sheath didn’t arrive. I'm really hoping Laguiole can step in and sort this out.

The reason I’m giving this a 5-star rating is because Laguiole Imports has exceptional customer support. I had to make a last-minute change after placing my order, and they really went above and beyond to help me out. "Unethical Practices in Business"
Due to extremely poor customer service and questionable business ethics, I can't, won't, and don't recommend Laguiole Imports. Here’s a quick rundown of my lengthy experience:

1. This company didn’t communicate well or honestly.
2. Contrary to their claims, the product I bought is porous and reactive, and it won’t stand up to regular use.
3. They misleadingly insisted I return my faulty knives for 'inspection'. I complied in good faith, hoping for a cooperative solution.
4. Instead, against my clear wishes, they flat-out refused to send back the knives I bought - along with my creative work engraved on them.

I was really impressed by the pictures on their website. I never thought steak knives could be both beautiful and practical. Customer service directed me to the forged cattle bone knives and assured me they’d pick those with the lightest, most uniform color. I ordered eight in total and asked for diamond-drag engraving on just two, planning to send the other six for the same engraving if I liked how they turned out.

The knives arrived quickly and were packed decently. The engraving was spot on, and the knives looked well-made. I sent a heartfelt thank-you note. However, upon closer inspection, I found that several knives had black marks on the metal where the handle met the blade. When I asked about this, I received no reply, which made it seem like the seller wasn’t interested in finding a solution.

What was even more alarming was that after just one meal, the handle of one of the two knives I used changed color. I reached out to customer service and got a curt reply that showed no understanding of my issue. They claimed I was just unhappy with the original color and that a change was 'not possible', implying I was being dishonest. I responded thoughtfully and included photos. I suspect the bone handle reacted to a homemade citrus crabapple sauce I used.

A week went by without a word, so I followed up gently, relieved that a color change wasn’t expected, and asked for a resolution. The reply? They completely ignored my message and sent a firm statement saying there could be no defect in the knife handle and, since it was engraved, it couldn’t be replaced.

Hoping for a personal touch, I left a friendly voicemail inviting a call. No response. The next day, I emailed asking to speak directly with someone in quality control. Apparently, that was too much to ask. Instead, I was told to pack up all my eight knives to send them back for inspection. Trusting their word that there would be communication and collaboration, even though I was hesitant to let them go, I did as they asked. Little did I know, I’d never see them again.

I got the direct phone number for the manager, hoping we could chat before the knives arrived. He never returned my call or replied to my email. I also wasn’t connected with the manufacturer, as I had requested.

Instead, I got a notice saying they decided not to return my knives and that I would be refunded. This was completely against what customer service had insisted about the bone handles being neither reactive nor porous. The manager stated that if it happened once, it could happen again! Neither of them responded to my follow-up emails or voicemails.

My knives are gone.

To be crystal clear: I sent those knives back in a spirit of collaboration and good faith, thinking they or their replacements would be sent back to me. I didn’t ask for a refund. I didn’t give permission for a refund. These were my knives, and they were (and still are, in many ways) rightfully mine. Two of them even had my own creative work (integrating words from a dear one) literally engraved on them.

I plan to report them for deceitful and unethical business practices. Since the company only communicated via email, I’m fortunate to have clear documentation.

"Gifted this knife to my son for his birthday"
I got this knife as a birthday gift for my son. He’s a knife collector, and after seeing this brand on "How It's Made," we just had to grab one for him. It’s pretty cool to know the backstory of the company.
I initially searched for a Damascus blade since they’re stunning, but they were way out of my budget. While browsing through other options, I stumbled upon the knife I ended up purchasing for my son. It’s gorgeous! The engraving option was a nice touch, and my son was totally blown away by how nice this knife turned out. I’m definitely planning to buy one for my husband next!
The shipping was super fast, and the way it was packaged and presented was just lovely.
